The Market Read №01 · by culture-watch
You can measure every impression and still not explain why the campaign moved no one.no one.
The Market Read shows you where the spend leaks — whether your partnerships build belief or rent audiences — in your own audience's words.
What you receive
The conviction gap.
What your brand claims versus what the market receives, evidenced verbatim from your surfaces and your audience’s language.
The desire-vs-conviction call.
Whether your creator spend is building belief or renting audiences, partnership by partnership.
Casting direction.
The creator type that carries credibility for your brand, and why. Types, never names: we do not sell reads of individual creators. That constraint is why the instrument stays honest.
The written Market Read.
Full-corpus method, coverage stated, every claim attributed — presented in a 45-minute working session.
How it works
Scope — 20 minutes.
Your brand, your current creator spend, the decision this read informs.
The read — ten days.
Your surfaces, your campaigns, your audience’s own words, run against the instrument.
The session — 45 minutes.
The findings, the call, the casting direction. Working document, not a deck performance.
When you’re ready to cast.
culture-watch matching brings you creators who fit the direction, each through a consented dossier: the creator’s own read, released because they said put me forward. A judgment, twice-signed — by us, and by the creator.
Engagement — three forms
The Market Read
the read + casting direction · ten days · 45-minute working session
The Market Read + Casting
the read, then up to five creators who fit the direction — each through a consented dossier, with the pitch language buyers recognize
The Standing Read
the read refreshed quarterly, casting direction per campaign, first look at consented dossiers in your lane
Quarterly — no annual lock; stand it down any quarter.
For scale: the Market Read is one to three percent of a single mid-size creator campaign — and it's the part that decides whether the other ninety-seven percent builds belief or rents an audience for thirty days.

What this is not
It will not tell you what you hoped to hear — so far this instrument has more often told brands your problem isn't casting than book more creators; that's why it's worth believing when it says yes. Not an influencer list. Not campaign management. Not surveillance — no read of a specific creator is ever sold or shown to a brand without their consent. Not a dashboard: dashboards tell you what happened to reach; this tells you whether anyone believed it — and what to do about it.
